After seven and a half years leading the DA(CH) country cluster, I am now formally closing an important and genuinely exciting phase of my professional journey.
When I stepped into this role, the challenge was inspiring and certainly ambitious: to restructure and reposition the business and build a setup fit for the future.
The deliberate development of a strong organization and leadership team laid the foundation for a comprehensive turnaround. This included a full organizational, portfolio and go-to-market transformation, a tripling of revenues with sustainable profitability, and a clear, differentiated positioning of the Company’s iconic brands in the SDA and PCA markets, including BaByliss, BaBylissPRO and Braun Haircare — supported by a structurally simplified and optimized operational footprint. At the same time, a scalable, performance-driven organization was established, well embedded in the Group’s evolving global structure.
Today, the country cluster is robust, efficient and well prepared — for demanding markets, strong partnerships and the next phase of transformation at EMEA and global level.
With this mission completed, my role in this setup has naturally come to an end. Looking back, I feel proud and grateful for what has been built — and especially for the exceptional people who shaped this journey with me. Building such a highly professional, committed and motivated organization is something that doesn’t come often in a career, and I truly value that experience. I’m also genuinely curious about the next chapter.
Throughout my career, the DACH region has been my professional focus. I therefore consciously decided not to continue my career within the Group in roles outside this region — such as London or the U.S. — and instead focus on opportunities where I can continue to leverage my experience and expertise most effectively.
